Sr. Applications Technologist - Design Tooling El Segundo

Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) IT Engineering Solutions has an opening on the Electrical Engineering team as an Application Technologist. Specifically, providing subject matter expertise in support of Digital, Analog, and RF/Microwave integrated circuit development. This position is responsible for design and development process definition, engineering tools release management, computing configurations, and sustaining/support for Raytheon Electrical Engineering global customers.
Duties in this fast-paced position include direct engagement with Raytheon design engineering, engineering supplier management, and coordinating priorities across a diverse set of requirements. This position will directly engage in technical supplier management to interface with key suppliers to optimize Raytheon's product development capabilities and influence
their strategic product development roadmap.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Job Description:
Deploy, support, and troubleshoot Digital, Analog and RF/Microwave design tools, such as Keysight Mentor Graphics, Cadence and Cliosoft
Management of tool releases, ensure tool compliance to license entitlements
Support Raytheon engineering teams in adopting and efficiently utilizing strategic tools & processes
Proactively manage priorities and organize work schedule in a dynamic, interrupt driven environment
Assist with development and delivery of Electrical Engineering team goals
Ensure responsiveness to customer help desk tickets
Build relationships with engineers across Raytheon businesses to develop and deliver integrated engineering solutions
Champion the deployment of new and existing integrated engineering solutions, and consult/support programs on the implementation
Identify, document, and champion engineering automation best practices and improvements which facilitate engineers being more productive
Engage strategic vendors for Electrical Engineering technology evaluations and improvements supporting Raytheon’s strategic requirements
Facilitate Supplier Technical Engagements, as needed, to mitigate and resolve critical engineering needs
Required Skills:
Minimum 6+years'experience in roleswith exposure to design tooling and design techniques
Experience in ASIC, Analog/RF/Microwave tooling and FPGA tooling
Knowledge of Analog, RF/Microwave and Digital Integrated Circuit design processes
ASIC Design Experience (Cadence – Virtuoso, CLIOSoft, Mentor Calibre)
RF Design Experience (Keysight ADS/SystemVue/Genesys)
Prepare managementlevelbriefingsand summary explanations

Desired Skills:
Linux Experience
ASIC PDK implementation experience
High Performance Computing (HPC) experience
Scripting skills (VBS, Windows Batch, etc.) for installation packaging and associated customizations
Familiarity/Experience utilizing vendor API’s (i.e., Python, Keysight AEL)
Additional familiarity in digital design and digital design tooling (Mentor Graphics, Synopsys) RF PCB Design skills are a plus for both Analog/RF/Microwave and CCA designs
Customer engagement/relationshipexperienceorpriorconsulting experience
Active security clearance
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related discipline
